Hardscape Crew Lead

Company Overview

Peak Environmental is a trusted landscape design and construction company based in Round Lake, NY, serving Saratoga County and surrounding areas for nearly 30 years. We specialize in high-end outdoor living projects including patios, retaining walls, walkways, and complete outdoor environments that are built to last.

Our team is made up of outdoorsy, skilled professionals who care deeply about safety, craftsmanship, teamwork, and the planet. We take pride in creating outdoor spaces our clients love and our crews are proud to build.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Hardscape Crew Lead to take a key role on our hardscape team. This is a hands-on field position where you will build complex hardscape projects, work closely with our Hardscape Project Manager, and occasionally run parts of a job site when needed.

If you are a skilled hardscape installer who wants to do higher-end work, grow into more leadership responsibility, and still be on the tools every day—this role offers the chance to advance your career while working Monday through Friday with no weekend work.

What You'll Do

  • Build patios, retaining walls, walkways, steps, fire pits, and other hardscape features to Peak Environmental quality standards
  • Work directly with the Hardscape Project Manager to execute project plans and keep jobs running smoothly
  • Set up and organize job sites for efficiency, including materials staging, tool setup, and crew direction when needed
  • Handle site layout, base preparation, grading, and paver installation, including cutting and screeding
  • Operate excavation and heavy equipment safely and effectively as part of the installation process

What Success Looks Like

  • Within the first 3–6 months, you consistently deliver hardscape installations that meet or exceed company standards for craftsmanship, durability, and appearance
  • You help keep projects on schedule by setting up organized job sites and identifying issues early in the build
  • You are trusted to independently handle portions of a job when the Hardscape Project Manager is focused on other project responsibilities
  • You model and reinforce safe work practices, contributing to a clean safety record on your jobs

What We're Looking For

  • 2–3+ years of hardscape installation experience, including paver installation, base prep, cutting, screeding, and layout
  • Proven ability to operate excavation and heavy equipment and complete excavation work safely
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a crew, with strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
  • Reliability, a safety-focused mindset, and the physical ability to perform outdoor construction work

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • 401(k); health, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off
  • Full-time employment
  • Monday–Friday day shift, 10-hour shifts, no weekend work

How to Apply

If you are an experienced hardscape installer ready to lead more, build high-end projects, and grow with a stable team, apply today with your resume or work history and contact information so we can connect.
