Retail ACE Hardware Job Description:
Qualified retail associates will ensure our customers are made to feel welcomed. Wallauer is looking for candidates that have strong communication and customer service skills. A positive attitude and the willingness to learn is essential to every staff member, and the growth of the company.
Essential Functions of the ACE Hardware Associate position:
- Greet customers entering and leaving the store and proactively assist customers in solving problems.
- Possess a friendly, outgoing demeanor, and work well with customers as well as associates.
- Ensure all calls are answered promptly, courteously, and effectively.
- Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
- Builds rapport with customers and works to ensure they receive excellent service.
- Handles instance of customer dissatisfaction and specific customer complaints reasonably, promptly, and effectively and recommend adjustments to management
- Assist in creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
- Assist with receiving, checking in, and stocking merchandise throughout the store.
- Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
- Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
- Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
- Participate in store meetings.
- Be professional in appearance and actions.
- Maintain a neat, clean updated front counter
- Self-Starter, quick learner, and team player with strong communication skills
ACE Hardware Associate Job Requirement:
- Some Hardware knowledge
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to take on additional tasks and be a team player
- Must be able to lift 40lbs, take out the trash, clean where needed, and perform any other tasks that need to be completed
- Must have reliable transportation
