Job Description: This position is available to technicians that have completed the NWFA apprenticeship program sponsored by Kimminau Floors or have received the equivalent in training. Technicians will be required to utilize hand tools, power tools, job site testing and preparation methods, design and layout patterns, demonstrate various installation methods, sanding and finishing methods, and complete field repairs. The person fulfilling this position will be held accountable for the results of each floor installed or prepared for installation by Kimminau Floors.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Job site Preparation for both installation and refinishing.
- Hardwood Installation
- Hardwood Refinishing
- Maintain standard list of hand tools
- Maintain equipment – follow maintenance program.
- Assist with maintaining tools, vans, and workshop space.
- Track time accurately
- Continued education – NWFA online & classroom instruction
- Occasional late nights and weekend work.
Qualification & Skills:
- Complete 3-year apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- NWFA Certified Installation Professional (preferred).
- NWFA Certified Sand & Finish Professional (preferred).
- Basic computer skills
- Must be well groomed, dressed professionally, punctual, and well organized.

- Reliable & Dependable
- Communication and Customer Service Skills a plus
- Coachable/Trainable
- Clean Driving Record w/ Reliable Transportation
