Harvest Scale Clerk

Location: Havana, IL 62644
Pay Rate: $17.00–$18.00/hour, paid weekly
Schedule: Monday–Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Duration: Seasonal assignment through January 19, 2027

Schedule Note: This position supports harvest operations and requires 12-hour shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Overview

The Harvest Scale Clerk supports daily office and scale operations during the harvest season. This position is responsible for weighing incoming and outgoing trucks, recording scale information, assisting with grain grading, entering data, answering phones, and maintaining accurate shipping and receiving documentation.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced seasonal environment, using computers for data entry, assisting customers, and following established safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Weigh incoming and outgoing trucks and accurately record scale information.

• Perform grain grading duties and enter results into computer systems.

• Complete accurate data entry and maintain facility records.

• Answer multi-line phones and assist customers with general questions.

• Organize, file, and retain shipping, receiving, and scale documentation.

• Handle and organize document storage boxes.

• Operate standard office equipment, including copiers, scanners, and fax machines.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

• Follow established facility safety procedures and zero-injury standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.

• Basic computer proficiency required.

• Previous data entry experience preferred.

• Microsoft Word and Excel experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Professional customer service and communication skills.

• Dependable attendance and ability to report to work promptly.

• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, weekends, and overtime during harvest season.

• Ability to alternate between prolonged periods of sitting and standing.

• Ability to bend, kneel, use a telephone regularly, and lift storage boxes as needed.
