Job Title: Harvest - Scale Clerk (US)
Location: Grand Ledge, MI
Duration: 3 Month Contract

Shift Schedule:
  • The position will be 8 hours a day up until the first or second week of July where it will switch to 12 hours per day.
  • 7:00 AM 3:30 PM (8 hour shift)
  • 7:00 AM 7:00 PM (12 hour shift)
  • Once wheat harvest is complete, we will go back to 8 hours a day until fall harvest arrives.

Summary:
Scale Clerk is a clerical position involved in the daily tasks of the office (weighing trucks, grading grain, operating a PLC program, data entry, answer phone and filing). This position will provide excellent customer service displaying a positive and professional attitude.

  • Job Requirements:
  • Commitment to ***s goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
  • Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, prolonged periods of using a telephone, bending, kneeling, lift storage boxes
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends
  • Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting
  • Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude
  • Computer skills are a must; previous experience with data entry using Microsoft Word & Excel is preferred
  • Previous experience with office equipment such as copier, fax machine, etc.
