Job Description:

**MUST HAVE L&D, POSTPARTUM AND NURSERY EXPERIENCE\*\*\*DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENTS..NO EXCEPTIONS\*\*\*PLEASE READ THE WHOLE AD\*\*** MUST be able to start on set date AT 700AM not before not after. Do not apply if you cant make it to this start date\*\* **\*\***WILL INTERVIEW/OFFER ASAP**\***_**Staff RN on 5 bed OB Unit which includes: Antepartum, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Nursery and Outpatient Testing.2. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.)Need 1 RN on 4/6 and other on 5/4/2026Avalon fetal monitoring machine, PYXIS machine, Ohmeda Infant Warmer System, Neopuff,Oxygen Blender, Bilibed (for phototherapy), Neoblue bed and overhead (for phototherapy), OUR 365 (newborn photos), SCD machine, Echoscreen (newborn hearing), Adult and Neonatal crash cart machine, and vital signs machine.We continue to be paper charting.3. Required skills and minimum years of experience.Able to take care of Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum, High Risk (PIH, placenta abruption, prolapse cord, placenta previa, VBAC, GDM, PTL, PROM, etc.), and Laboring Patients. Taking care of Observation and NST Patients. Able to take care of Well Babies, Phototherapy, and Special Care Nursery Babies. Willing to float to other departments if decrease in census and if needed. We require someone who can start adult and neonatal IV's, adult and neonatal Accu checks, PKU on newborns, Provide resuscitation on a newborn if needed, APGAR scoring, bulb suctioning, delee of a newborn, and assist with circumcisions. With a laboring patient: assist anesthesia in administration of intrathecal or epidural, monitoring PCA pump, attending C-Sections and taking care of the newborn, recovering patients after a C-Section or BTL, hanging IV fluids, or IVPB medications. Administering and titrating Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and Insulin drip. Monitoring and interpreting fetal heart rate to the physician. Monitoring a laboring patient on Cytotec, intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC), internal scalp electrode (Client) having a amnioinfusion, and assisting a physician with doing a external cephalic version (ECV).2 years labor and delivery, and couplet care experience4. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. ( BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, FM (Fetal Monitoring certification)**__\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_MUST WORK ANY SHIFTS, PREFERABLY NIGHTS_**VERY IMPORTANT MUST WORK 80 HOURS EVERY 2 WEEKS, NO EXCEPTIONS**__\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_

****AGENCIES MUST USE THE HHSC TIMECARDS LOCATED IN THE FACILITY PROFILE AS THIS HOSPITAL GOES BY AN 80 HR IN A 2 WEEK PERIOD TO DETERMINE ACTUAL HOURS/OT ETC. ****

The orientation days. The first day of training would consist of HR orientation, (fingerprinting, reviewing policies and procedures, ID badge, etc.), safety orientation, risk & quality management orientation, in-services/education (Code of conducts, etc.), and I.T. orientation. The second day will be focused on electronic medical record (EMR) training.

The training on day one begins at 10 am with HR (or designee) then safety orientation follows so on and so forth.
