The Home Care Aide works under the supervision of the Home Care Supervisor and is assigned specific tasks through the home care plan of care. 1. Performs household services essential to the clients safety and care at home including laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation and shopping. 2. Performs only the tasks defined in the home care plan of care for the client and observes documents and reports any changes in the client s condition. 3. Follows agency policies and procedures 4. Meets the requirements for submission of time cards and documentation of assignments 5. Respects the rights of clients and families to have different beliefs, opinions, cultures and customs 6. Attends orientation and in-service training as required by the agency 7. As a member of the home care team keeps and maintains a professional attitude in the client s home QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, write and understand directions At least 18 years of age Current TB test, Food Handlers Card and HIV/AIDS Education Certificate Current Washington State driver s license and current automobile insurance or adequate access to public transportation Hs diploma/equivalent Read,write,understand directions Available to work various shifts TB,Food Handlers, HIV/AIDS, CPR/First Aid, HCA training mandatory,Safety/ orientation
