Lynchburg, VA | Elevated Bistro Concept | Ranch-to-Table Dining

We are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead a small, intimate upscale bistro focused on elevated comfort food, house-made pasta, refined technique, and thoughtfully sourced ingredients including Wagyu beef sourced directly from the owner s local ranch.

This is not a traditional steakhouse. Our concept centers around bold flavors, handcrafted pastas, seasonal creativity, and memorable dining experiences, with premium Wagyu featured as a signature offering rather than the entire identity.

We are looking for a chef who can balance rustic warmth with refined execution someone capable of creating a menu that feels both approachable and unforgettable within an intimate dining atmosphere where every plate and guest experience matters.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop a creative, seasonal bistro menu with strong pasta offerings and signature Wagyu dishes
  • Lead kitchen operations and team development
  • Maintain high standards of presentation, consistency, and execution
  • Manage food cost, labor, and inventory
  • Contribute to an experience-driven dining atmosphere
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years culinary leadership experience
  • Strong background in upscale casual, bistro, Italian, or fine dining concepts
  • Experience with fresh pasta and refined comfort cuisine
  • Experience working with premium proteins and seasonal ingredients
  • Proven ability to create profitable, dynamic menus
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
