Head Chef

WESTAFF is hiring a Head Chef for a company located in Maurice, LA.

Pay: 45k/ annually

Schedule: To be determined

Job Duties:

• Prepare breakfast, lunch, & dinner
• Keep ongoing list of any items needed for menus & social events
• Keep inventory & order all food & supplies through our food company on a weekly basis or as needed
• Maintain monthly budget
• Check kitchen for cleanliness before leaving each day
• Prep food or assign that duty for next day’s meals
• Prepare all snacks to be put out daily as well as for social events
• Manage & schedule all kitchen staff
• Assist with dietician in developing menu & make sure all menus are approved & signed off by dietician
• Make sure weekly menus are posted in common areas
• Follow all sanitary guidelines set forth by sanitarian & state regulations
• Maintain safe serve certification
• Maintain all coolers & freezers as well as pantry area for proper food storage
• Assign duties to other kitchen staff as deemed suitable & necessary
