WESTAFF is hiring a Head Chef for a company located in Maurice, LA.
Pay: 45k/ annually
Schedule: To be determined
Job Duties:
- Prepare breakfast, lunch, & dinner
- Keep ongoing list of any items needed for menus & social events
- Keep inventory & order all food & supplies through our food company on a weekly basis or as needed
- Maintain monthly budget
- Check kitchen for cleanliness before leaving each day
- Prep food or assign that duty for next day’s meals
- Prepare all snacks to be put out daily as well as for social events
- Manage & schedule all kitchen staff
- Assist with dietician in developing menu & make sure all menus are approved & signed off by dietician
- Make sure weekly menus are posted in common areas
- Follow all sanitary guidelines set forth by sanitarian & state regulations
- Maintain safe serve certification
- Maintain all coolers & freezers as well as pantry area for proper food storage
- Assign duties to other kitchen staff as deemed suitable & necessary
