Head Chef

UPA is seeking an experienced Head Chef to join our team at Ascott Gardens, a 78-bed Residential Aged Care home in Orange NSW.

This full-time role offers a great opportunity to lead a team of Chefs, Cooks and Food Services Assistants while delivering nutritious, high-quality meals that enhance the wellbeing of our residents.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

• Lead and manage all kitchen operations
• Plan menus and prepare nutritious meals
• Ensure compliance with food safety and legislative requirements
• Manage food ordering, stock control and kitchen budgets
• Support and develop kitchen team members
• Maintain high standards of food quality and resident satisfaction

• Certificate IV in Kitchen Management, Commercial Cookery or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a Head Chef, Chef or Cook Manager role
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety requirements
• Experience with menu planning, dietary requirements and kitchen management
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills

Aged care or healthcare experience is highly regarded but not essential.
