Position Description Summary/Purpose:
Recruits, trains and provides guidance to members of the Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track and Field teams in a manner which promotes the academic, athletic and social success of athletes and is consistent with the mission and goals of the University of Bridgeport Athletic Department.

Represent the University of Bridgeport and the Athletic Department in a positive manner with a high degree of integrity and quality.
Promote and support the University of Bridgeport and its mission.
Promote and support the University of Bridgeport Athletic Department's program mission and goals.
Assist with all aspects of the cross country and track programs; provides opportunities that challenge and support student-athletes to reach their full potential including recruiting.
Adheres to and enforces all policies and procedures of the department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the NCAA, CACC, and any other authorities that affect the intercollegiate athletic program
Assist the head coach in planning and operation of the program.
Provide leadership in implementation of the program.
Perform duties as assigned Athletic Director
Conducts all work in a safe manner and all work safety practices are followed.
Other Functions:
Performs similar or related work as required, directed or as situation dictates.
Continues professional development and training; keeps current with trends.
Assists other department staff as needed to promote a team effort.

Demonstrated commitment to developing and fostering best practices and policies to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion, and build an environment in which all members of the University community are treated with respect and dignity.
Experience in the sport of cross country and track and field
