Description
The Head Coach, eSports will be responsible for facilitating the academic, athletic and overall growth of eSports student athletes, under the direct guidance of the Athletic Director. Additionally, this individual will work with the Athletic Director to continually assess and elevate the program's status in the areas of academics, recruiting, budget, tracking, and reporting, equipment ordering, marketing, public relations, departmental compliance and facility management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES1.Coaches and teaches the game of eSports2.Schedules and runs organized practices3.Works alongside the Athletic Director to schedule games4.Hires an assistant coach that has knowledge of the game and is responsible for duties as assigned by the head coach5.Recruits student athletes from Clark, Champaign, Greene and Logan counties as well as surrounding counties and the state of Ohio6.Maintains knowledge of the governing bylaws, constitution and rules of the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference, OCCAC and the National Junior Collegiate Athletic Association, NJCAAE7.Manages the travel, supply, scholarship and equipment budget8.Conducts fundraising activities, community service, camps and clinics for the eSports team9.Transports team to away games using college vans10.Provides student athletes assistance for moving on to the next level of competition and/or education11.All other duties assigned by supervisor

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, faculty, and students.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statisical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is performed in an office-like environment with a minimal amount of noise. Occasional travel required to visit various military units and/or organizations
