Head Coach - High School Boys Golf

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Head Coach to lead our Boys Golf program. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical instruction with character development, guiding student-athletes in swing mechanics, course management, USGA rules, and sportsmanship both on and off the course.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Organize and run daily practices, intra-team qualifying matches, and competition lineups for varsity and junior varsity levels.

• Skill Development: Provide technical instruction on swing mechanics, short game, course management, and proper golf etiquette.

• Match Operations: Oversee match-day logistics, score reporting, equipment management, and team travel in coordination with the Athletic Department.

• Student Mentorship: Track student-athlete academic eligibility, enforce athletic department policies, and foster a culture of integrity and respect.

• Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the athletic department, parents, local golf course management, and opposing coaches.

Schedule & Compensation

• Season Duration: Official season practices (March 29 - June 15) and tournament schedules (typically 12-15 hours per week, including weekday afternoons and weekend matches).

• Compensation: Paid via district athletic coaching stipend schedule.
