Head Coach - Men's Volleyball

Description

Hilbert College invites applications for the position of Head Coach for Men's Volleyball. This position may be structured as either a part-time role requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week or a full-time, 10- or 12-month appointment, depending on candidate qualifications and institutional needs. The Head Coach is responsible for directing all aspects of an NCAA Division III Men's Volleyball program, including recruiting, coaching, and program administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and conduct all practices, competitions, and team activities.
  • Recruit and retain qualified student-athletes.
  • Manage program operations including budgets, equipment, and travel.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA and AMCC rules and regulations.
  • Develop competitive strategies and evaluate team performance.
  • Supervise assistant coaches and support staff.
  • Promote a positive team culture and student-athlete experience.
  • Engage in fundraising, camps, clinics, and community outreach.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • NCAA collegiate coaching and/or playing experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Current CPR/AED & First Aid certifications or ability to obtain upon hire.
  • Valid driver's license.

Anticipated Start Date: July 20, 2026

Compensation: $53,000.00

Hilbert College is currently posting multiple volleyball positions as part of a comprehensive hiring strategy. Depending on the qualifications and experience of the applicant pool, the College may fill these roles as separate men's and women's coaching positions or combine responsibilities into a single role overseeing both programs. Final position structure will be determined following the search process.
