The Head Men’s & Women’s Tennis Coach is responsible for directing all phases of the day-to-day operations of the RIT tennis programs. This is a 10-monthposition and includes the planning, development, and implementation of all program activities, including but not limited to recruitment, instruction, student-athlete development, and competitive coaching.
The Head Coach’s responsibilities include scheduling, coordinating team travel, leading fundraising initiatives and camps, and representing and promoting the tennis programs in alignment with RIT, Liberty League, and NCAA guidelines. The Head Coach must demonstrate a strong commitment to the academic success of student-athletes, community engagement, positive public relations, and effective fiscal management of the program.
The Head Coach will effectively recruit highly qualified student-athletes through collaboration with the Office of Enrollment Management and the Intercollegiate Athletics leadership team. This role also requires fostering and maintaining positive relationships with student-athletes, parents and families, colleagues within and outside the university, alumni, and friends of both the program and the University.
This position is a one-year appointment, with the potential for renewal on an annual basis, contingent upon organizational need, funding, and satisfactory performance.
