The position also includes supervising Custodial Workers, Cleaners, and Substitute Cleaners, along with performing other related duties as assigned. Additionally, the Head Custodian will demonstrate:thorough knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies, and equipment;good knowledge of the operation and maintenance of heating and ventilating equipment;working knowledge of the tools, terminology, and practices of one or more skilled trades;the ability to effectively use computer applications such as spreadsheets, calendar, e-mail, and applications such as BMS, School Dude (work order/facilities scheduling/inventory system);thorough knowledge of safety regulations, procedures and security in the workplace and public buildings;thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of effective supervision;the ability to prepare reports;the ability to get along well with others, demonstrating good judgment, dependability and initiative;Mon-Fri 6:00am - 2:30pmThis is a Westchester County, Competitive Class, Civil Service position.
