Overview of the Position: Under general supervision of the Facilities Director, the Head Day Custodian performs routine custodial and maintenance duties requiring considerable responsibility and judgment. The Head Day Custodian supervises custodial staff, coordinates building operations, ensures facilities are clean, safe, and properly maintained, and performs related maintenance and custodial duties as required.
Primary/other Functions:
Recommended Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: High school diploma preferred; two years of progressively responsible custodial experience or equivalent.
Knowledge, Ability and Skill: General knowledge of custodial methods and materials. Ability to supervise employees and communicate effectively. Massachusetts Class D driver''s license required.
Physical Requirements Constant moderate to strenuous physical effort. Extensive walking, standing, reaching, stooping, and climbing. Frequently lifts or moves furniture and equipment weighing 60 pounds or more.
Conditions of Employment Subject to CORI/SORI background checks and verification of employment eligibility. Required to comply with school safety protocols and applicable regulations.
Evaluation The Head Day Custodian will receive a performance evaluation annually in accordance with school policy.
