Position Description

We are seeking an energetic, highly collaborative, and knowledgeable Head Coach to lead our Girls'' Softball program. This unique position oversees a four-school co-op consisting of Brown Deer, Shorewood, Nicolet, and the University School of Milwaukee. Please note that Brown Deer High School serves as the lead school for this co-op.

It is critical that the successful candidate possesses the ability to bring all four school communities together to build one unified culture pushing toward the same goal. The Head Coach will be responsible for the overall supervision, strategic vision, and development of our student-athletes, making the logistics, communication, and team experience entirely seamless for the entire softball program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-Op Unity & Leadership: Actively bridge the four participating schools to foster a single, inclusive team identity; maintain transparent and seamless communication with student-athletes, parents, and athletic directors across all four campuses.
  • Program Leadership: Manage all aspects of the Girls'' Softball program, including varsity and junior varsity levels.
  • Instruction: Plan and execute daily practices focused on technical skill development, tactical game strategy, and deep knowledge of the sport.
  • Game Management: Coordinate and oversee all home and away contests, navigating scheduling and logistical coordination across multiple school districts.
  • Administration: Maintain accurate records of equipment, uniforms, and student-athlete eligibility; adhere strictly to the shared-resource guidelines of the co-op with Brown Deer as the lead administrative site.
  • Culture: Promote a positive team environment that emphasizes the "Student-Athlete" balance and represents all four school communities with total integrity.
