Head Janitor

This is a 12 month position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have some knowledge of the materials, methods and practices used in cleaning operation.
• Must have the knowledge and ability to operate all machinery and equipment used by janitorial personnel and must be able to teach new personnel.
• Must have the ability to understand and pass on written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to check necessary repairs, make the repairs if possible, and/or make recommendations.
• Must be able to make orders for all maintenance and janitorial supplies.
• Must have the ability to assign, participate and supervise the work of other janitors and sweepers.
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds.
• Must pass background check and functional assessment test prior to employment as required by Vermilion Parish School Board policies and procedures.
