You will play a critical role in building and managing the team responsible for developing new opportunities with independent advertising and media agencies - agencies not affiliated with the major global holding companies. As a leader, you will drive for performance and operational excellence as you help execute sales strategies to close revenue and build a pipeline of new business across the independent agency landscape in your region.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and drive your sales team to peak performance selling into independent advertising and media agencies
Collaborate with your EVP and the Management team to develop a business plan designed to meet and exceed your revenue goals, driven by growth across your independent agency book of business.
Manage your revenue pipeline to meet monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
Recruit, hire and train members of the Sales Team, ideally with experience navigating independent agency sales cycles and relationships, to drive sales excellence
Work closely with the Marketing and Sales Development team on events and targeted campaigns focused on the independent agency community, including industry associations, agency conferences and partner events
Develop, coach and mentor your direct reports, including building executive-level relationships with independent agency leadership. Support employees through internal talent management programs and performance reviews
Key Requirements:
5-10 years of digital experience in a Sales and/or Sales Manager role, ideally selling platform or technology solutions into independent advertising or media agencies
Deep understanding of the independent agency landscape - including AOR relationships, agency trading desks/programmatic teams, and holding company vs. independent agency business models - with established relationships across the independent agency community strongly preferred
Willingness to learn. Creativity, passion, positivity, and drive
People management experience
BA/BS degree preferred, but will consider equivalent years of work experience
Comfort with selling software and services
SaaS and Sales experience preferred
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and as part of the overall Sales team
Knowledge of prospecting and CRM software (Ideally Salesforce &, Linkedin Navigator)
Technical expertise and ability to acquire knowledge of our solutions
We are hybrid for the long term - with a great home/ office work mix (three days in office per week), passionate and diverse team members, and a vibrant company culture.
The salary range for this position is $165,000-190,000 plus commissions. The actual salary amount will vary depending on the applicants experience, skills and abilities as well as internal equity and market data.
