    Description

The brand creative studio within Amazon Devices & Services" Growth and Execution Organization (GXO) at Amazon is seeking a Sr. Manager, Creative Program Management to set the vision for our creative program management practice and scale its impact across the organization, spanning our global product launches, events, and integrated marketing campaigns. This is a senior leadership role for a deep expert in the discipline. You will lead a high-impact team with a strategically important charter, and you will be recognized across the organization as the definitive authority on how creative program management is done and how it should evolve - including how AI reshapes the way the practice works.

You will own and define the strategy for the practice, design the workflows, mechanisms and standards that the broader creative organization adopts, and operate where the problem and the path are not yet defined. You will be a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and creative partners, translating ambiguous business goals into structured creative programs and setting a vision that connects brand strategy to how it comes to life for the customer.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned creative program management leader who is the deepest expert in the room and uses that expertise and high judgment to shape strategy, not just execution. You lead a team while personally setting the bar for the craft, and you influence far beyond your team by teaching, writing, and defining the standards others follow. You bring advanced AI proficiency and a strong appetite for AI adoption, leading your team to build its own program and project management tools and to apply AI across all aspects of the work. You are comfortable making two-way-door decisions with independence, distilling diverse inputs from stakeholders across the organization into a clear set of priorities, and driving consensus on where the practice goes next. You are a true owner who raises the bar, manages expectations with senior partners, embraces ambiguity, and has a positive impact on team culture.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Own and define the strategy for the creative program management practice - designing the workflows, mechanisms, structures, and standards, including the team"s own program and project management tooling, needed to meet long-term goals where the problem and path are not yet defined.
    • Lead a high-impact team with a strategically important charter, personally setting the bar for the discipline, growing depth of expertise, and demonstrating a strong appetite for AI adoption across all aspects of the work.
    • Lead the team to build repeatable, scalable processes and its own tools that help the organization prioritize, improve efficiency, and deliver on the roadmap.
    • Serve as the organization-wide authority on creative program management, teaching and influencing partner teams and defining the best practices others adopt.
    • Build deep, trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact between the creative studio and the businesses we support.
    • Own end-to-end execution of complex creative programs - quality of inputs, resourcing, schedules, budgets, and program status communication to leadership.
    • Represent the practice in organizational planning (OP1/OP2, multi-year roadmaps), influencing priorities and resourcing with leaders several levels above your own.
    • Assess and mitigate risks, make tradeoffs across time, scope, and resources, and develop closed-loop mechanisms to identify at-risk programs early and act decisively to get them back on track.

    About Company

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

    It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

    Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
