Global Health Strategies is seeking a bold, creative digital leader to build and lead a best-in-class digital and creative team. As Head of Digital Strategy, you will own the vision and execution for how video, social, paid media, email, influencer marketing, podcasting, and emerging tools come together to power campaigns and events that move people—and decisionmakers—toward a healthier, more equitable world.
This is in equal parts strategic, creative, and people-focused role. You will set the direction for how GHS approaches digital across its global practices, personally lead breakthrough concepting and storytelling, and build a high-performing team that is trusted by clients and colleagues alike.
The role is ideal for someone who understands how audiences behave across platforms, can interpret data and trends, and knows how to connect digital and creative tactics to bigger advocacy and communications strategies. You will partner closely with account leads and global senior leadership to shape digital first campaigns for some of the most influential organizations in global health and social impact.
The ideal candidate brings passion for our mission, deep digital and creative leadership experience from a range of possible backgrounds: a full-service agency, running a small digital firm, a key role in a political campaign, or running the digital function at a social impact organization. You are both a strategic thinker and a hands-on doer, and an inclusive people manager who cultivates talent and builds strong partnerships across disciplines and geographies.
The role is located in NY and is hybrid, 3 day in office and 2 days remote.

- Conceiving and delivering innovative, high impact content and campaigns that breakthrough for our client’s issues, programs and events.
- Championing experimentation and innovation across the firm—testing new formats, channels and creative approaches.
- Building, coaching, and inspiring a high performing digital and creative team that is trusted across GHS’s global offices.
- Constantly evolve how we think about content and channels using measurement and analytics so teams can learn fast and optimize in real time.
Responsibilities:
- Engage clients and represent GHS: Understand the needs of our clients, present bold creative ideas and identify opportunities to enhance impact of our mission.
- Set creative vision and direction: Partner with program teams to translate client goals into pragmatic, bold creative concepts. Concepts are grounded in audience data, channel strategy, selecting the right mix of platforms and tactics to maximize reach and impact.
- Develop world-class content: Work with production staff and consultants across key geographies to develop content and storytelling that differentiates our clients’ issues and moves priority audiences.
- Build, lead and inspire the team: Recruit, develop, and provide creative leadership to a high-performing digital and creative team, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Oversee content and channels: Guide the creation and optimization of digital content, video, social, SEO/SEM, and experiential activations, ensuring quality, consistency, and on-time delivery.
- Use insight and analytics: Apply audience, channel, and performance data to shape strategies, define KPIs, and continuously improve campaign effectiveness.
Experience and skills required
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public health, policy, or other related degree, 8+ years of digital strategy and creative leadership experience, including direct management and growth of teams
- Experience leading high-performing teams
- Demonstrated ability to create innovative and engaging social good or political campaigns across social, digital, video, and experiential channels
- Exceptional creative vision and conceptual thinking
- Demonstrated clear, direct communication style, with the ability to lead and educate project and firm leadership on current and future digital and creative trends
- Entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, self-starter, strong problem-solving skills, and analytical approach with excellent attention to detail
- Experience interacting and presenting to clients or high-level stakeholders
Preferred skills
- Experience in global health, public health, international development, or advocacy communications.
- Familiarity with influencer marketing, podcast strategy, email marketing, and paid media management.
NYC Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000
