About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Head of Strategic Sourcing to lead the Enterprise Functions Sourcing team. This executive leadership role is accountable for a highly complex portfolio supporting the Chief Operating Office, Human Resources, and Public Affairs/Marketing, representing approximately $7 billion in annual spend, 3,700 contracts each year, and 170 spend categories.
The leader will direct a geographically distributed team of approximately 58 employees across onshore and offshore locations. The role is responsible for aligning sourcing strategies and execution with business priorities, delivering commercial value, managing supplier and operational risk, and strengthening the partnership between Strategic Sourcing, Business Teams, Finance, and other key stakeholders.
The Head of Enterprise Functions Strategic Sourcing must be a proactive, visible strategic advisor to the most senior line of business executives. This leader must have the gravitas and deep business acumen required to be valued as a trusted advisor to the COO, HR, Public Affairs/Marketing business executives. She/he must anticipate market changes and must act with a sense of urgency. This leader must direct the operations of the enabling functions sourcing team to be responsive and adjust approaches to be right-sized based on risk & urgency. This leader must achieve a "seat at the table" with LOB leadership to have line of sight of their budget and functional priorities.
Strategic Sourcing has recently launched a robust new capability around category management along with a new operating model. We are also leveraging several AI-enabled and orchestration solutions to streamline and enhance our sourcing processes. Successful candidates will demonstrate their ability to successfully drive transformation initiatives within their sourcing teams.
In this role, you will:
Lead multiple teams of Strategic Sourcing professionals responsible for highly complex, enterprise-wide sourcing strategies, negotiations, and contract execution across the Chief Operating Office, Human Resources, and Public Affairs.
Serve as a strategic advisor and primary senior Sourcing partner to Enterprise Functions executives, Business leaders, and Finance partners by translating business priorities, demand, and financial objectives into actionable sourcing strategies.
Provide strategic oversight for a portfolio of approximately $7 billion in annual spend, 3,700 annual contracts, and 170 spend categories.
Prioritize and govern the deal pipeline, expiring contracts, category strategies, and material sourcing initiatives to align resources with business needs and enterprise priorities.
Develop and execute category and supplier strategies that optimize expense, improve commercial outcomes, strengthen supplier performance, and support sustainable value creation.
Lead or provide executive oversight for the most complex, high-risk, or strategically important negotiations, contract dispositions, supplier relationships, and sourcing escalations.
Ensure sourcing and contracting activities follow applicable policies, controls, risk requirements, and regulatory expectations, with timely escalation and remediation of issues.
Establish strong operating routines with senior Business and Finance leaders to review spend, demand, pipeline, savings, contract expirations, supplier risk, and execution performance.
Deliver clear executive reporting and data-driven insights regarding commercial value, sourcing activity, portfolio performance, risks, and opportunities.
Collaborate across Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Management, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Technology, and other Supply Chain Management teams to resolve complex issues and achieve enterprise objectives.
Manage the allocation of people and financial resources, balance onshore and offshore delivery, and ensure the organization has the capacity and capabilities required to meet portfolio demand.
Build and sustain a high-performing, inclusive team through talent acquisition, coaching, feedback, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development.
Lead change with integrity, sound judgment, accountability, and a strong focus on customer relationships, risk management, and execution.
Required qualifications:
10+ years of Sourcing experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
4+ years of management or leadership experience

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location. Employees may also be eligible for incentive opportunities.
$185,000.00 - $300,000.00
