Description
As the Head of Human Resources, you’ll oversee all HR functions, including talent acquisition, performance management, training, compensation, benefits, and employee relations. You champion Vivani's culture and values and partner with leadership across the organization to ensure HR programs align with company operational objectives. You identify and explore trends in HR to enhance employee experience, meet evolving organizational needs, and create innovative programs. This person reports to the COO.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement policies and programs.
Develop, monitor, and implement a people management strategy.
Partner with senior leadership to develop and drive HR strategy, tackling projects and programs at all levels.
Oversee employee lifecycle events from onboarding to offboarding, turning feedback into actionable insights to enhance the employee experience.
Direct compensation and benefits programs.
Consult and advise leaders on all HR focus areas, including recruitment, performance management & retention, compensation and rewards, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEI and B), employee relations, benefits, training, and people development.
Other projects and assignments as directed by the COO.
Requirements
10 years of HR experience, including 5 years at small publicly traded companies
5 years of experience working in biotech or pharma
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related fields (example: Psychology or Organizational Behavior)
Certification as Senior Professional, HR, or Senior Certified Professional HR
Experience partnering and working with senior leadership to empower, influence, and drive change
In-depth knowledge about HR practices and employment/labor legislation
Experience working with Boards of Directors and Compensation Committees
Experience in successfully designing and deploying new HR initiatives
Skilled communicator, both written and verbal, with excellent MS Office skills
Comfortable with hands-on operational work as well as strategizing

Salary range: $210-260K. Final compensation will be determined on job-related factors such as experience, education, and training.
