What Will You Enjoy Doing
- Provides leadership to the day-to-day operations of the sales professionals, while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals.
- Member of the Sales Leadership Team, reports to VP of Sales.
- Supports developing and implementing comprehensive and effective sales processes.
- Formulate and implement sales plans in collaboration with the VP of Sales/Commercial, set targets, and oversee the sales team's performance.
- Ensure that sales team members understand and implement the regional go-to-market strategy.
- Set sales targets, quotas and KPIs for the sales team.
- Develop proposals and presentations to attract new business and effectively communicate the value proposition.
- Report sales performance metrics to NOAM Leadership Team when required.
Identify and Pursue New Business
- In collaboration with Marketing, research market trends, identify potential clients and partners, and develop proposals for new opportunities; assess competitors’ strength and weaknesses.
- Develop and identify business opportunities through expansion within current accounts or identifying and growing new accounts.
Manage and Develop the Sales Team
- Recruit, train, lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve their goals. Establish performance goals that support growth aligned with NOAM strategy.
- Establish meeting cadence, conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to sales team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Build and Maintain Customer Relationships
- Cultivate relationships with existing customers, build new partnerships, and represent the company at industry events and conferences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Address customer issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
Collaboration with Other Departments
- Work closely with marketing, product development (Technical Center), manufacturing, procurement, finance and other teams to ensure alignment and successful business implementation.
Monitor and Analyze Performance
- Track key metrics, identify areas for improvement, and report on progress to the VP of Sales.
- Monitor sales performance and make adjustments as needed.
- Manage and optimize sales processes and procedures including being a champion of training and continuous improvement.
- Implement and utilize ALPLA systems and other sales tools. (CRM D365, PowerBI).
- Analyze sales data and generate reports to track performance and identify trends.
- Develop and implement sales training programs.
Budget and Contract Management
- Manage the sales and business development budget, analyze variances and initiate corrective actions.
- Manage contract reviews, price adjustments, and quotations.
- Forecast sales revenue and expenses.
What Makes You Great
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent required
- MBA is highly desirable
Experience:
- 7-10 years of intensive and progressive sales experience with a success track record required
- Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience in the rigid plastics packaging industry. Deep understanding of the industry and market trends
Skills:
- Execution skill: capable to “close the deal”
- Strong motivational, innovative, and interpersonal skills
- Proven leadership with track record of successful management of sales teams
- Proficiency in using CRM systems
- Ability to analyze sales data and identify trends.
- Ability to identify and resolve sales issues.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills
- Ability to present effectively to key customer decision makers
- Ability to work independently toward a common team goal
- High energy, self-motivated and quick thinking
- Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Professional office/phone etiquette and presence
- Ability to travel as necessary up to 60%
