Head of SAP FICO Practice (Practice Ambassador)

Role OverviewWe are seeking a visionary and commercially driven leader to serve as the face and ambassador of our SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) practice. This individual will own the strategy, growth, and delivery excellence of our SAP Finance offerings, lead a team of consultants, and partner with C-level executives to expand our footprint in the market.This is both a leadership and a business development role—combining deep SAP FICO expertise with the ability to build relationships, shape offerings, and drive revenue growth.Key ResponsibilitiesPractice Leadership & Strategy

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the SAP FICO practice, aligned with firm-wide goals.
• Act as the primary ambassador and thought leader for the practice—representing the firm at client meetings, industry events, and in the market.
• Build and maintain a high-performing team of SAP FICO consultants, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development.
• Establish delivery methodologies, tools, accelerators, and IP to differentiate our offerings and improve project margins.
• Own practice P&L, budgeting, resource planning, and financial targets.

Business Development & Growth

• Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in SAP FICO, S/4HANA Finance, and related finance transformation areas.
• Lead presales activities: develop proposals, conduct demos, craft solution narratives, and support RFP responses.
• Build and nurture relationships with C-level executives (CFOs, CIOs, Finance Directors) to position the firm as a trusted advisor.
• Collaborate with other practice leaders (e.g., SAP MM, SD, HCM, Technology) to create integrated, cross-selling opportunities.
• Develop and market new service offerings, packages, and IP to address emerging client needs.

Delivery Excellence & Client Engagement

• Oversee the end-to-end delivery of SAP FICO projects, ensuring quality, timeliness, and client satisfaction.
• Serve as a senior advisor on complex implementations, migrations (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA), and finance transformation initiatives.
• Ensure best practices in solution design, configuration, testing, data migration, and go-live support.
• Resolve escalations and act as a trusted point of contact for key clients.

Thought Leadership & Market Presence

• Publish articles, whitepapers, and blogs on SAP FICO trends, S/4HANA Finance, and finance transformation.
• Speak at industry conferences, webinars, and client events to raise the firm's profile.
• Stay current with SAP roadmap, new features, and industry trends to keep the practice ahead of the curve.

Qualifications & ExperienceRequired

• 12+ years of experience in SAP FICO, with at least 5 years in a leadership or practice management role.
• Proven track record of leading full-lifecycle SAP FICO and S/4HANA Finance implementations.
• Demonstrated success in business development, client acquisition, and revenue growth.
• Strong people management experience—building, mentoring, and scaling teams.
• Deep understanding of finance processes (GL, AP, AR, AA, CO-PA, PCA, etc.) and integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PS, PM, etc.).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage C-level audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field; MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., SAP S/4HANA Finance) preferred.
