Head Sawyer Sawmill

We are seeking a skilled Head Sawyer to join our sawmill team. The Head Sawyer will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the sawmill, ensuring the production of high-quality lumber products and managing a team of sawyers.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and oversee the sawmill machinery and equipment
• Manage the sawmill team and assign tasks
• Ensure the production of lumber products meets quality standards
• Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety regulations
• Perform regular maintenance on sawmill equipment
• Monitor production output and make adjustments as needed
• Train new sawmill team members

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in a sawmill setting
• Proven experience operating sawmill equipment
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of safety regulations in a sawmill setting
• Physical stamina to perform the duties of the job
