Head Sideline Cheer Coach

Position Purpose

The Head Sideline Cheer Coach position will work directly with the Hiram College Sideline Cheer program on all facets of the day-to-day operations of a collegiate Sideline Cheer program in compliance with Hiram College, PAC, and NCAA policies and procedures

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct and be responsible for practice, competition planning and implementation
  • Recruiting and retention of student-athletes to the sideline cheer program
  • Assist with the strength and conditioning program for sideline cheer
  • Responsible for the sideline cheer team budget
  • Responsible for all funding raising initiatives for the Hiram College sideline cheer program
  • Do athletic laundry in sport season
  • Work the Day with Hiram Golf Outing

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong working knowledge of sideline cheer
  • Ability to teach skills associated with competitive sideline cheer
  • Working knowledge of strength and conditioning
  • Applicant must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented office environment and interact in a positive manner with students, faculty, staff, visitors, and the public.
  • Microsoft Word
  • Excel
  • Experience with Front Rush
  • Proficient with all forms of social media

Experience

  • Previous experience in sideline cheer
  • Experience recruiting college athletes

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree required
