Meeting the needs of the whole person is our continued commitment.What You'll Do:The Head Start Teacher works under the supervision of the Center Director and is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that supports the individual needs of enrolled children.Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Head Start standards and school readiness goals.Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.Support individualized learning, including accommodations for children with IEPs and special needs.Monitor and document child progress using Teaching Strategies GOLD and ChildPlus.Complete required screenings, assessments, observations, and documentation accurately and timely.Maintain compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, State Licensing, CACFP, and agency policies.Build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.Promote cultural awareness and family engagement.Maintain classroom health, safety, sanitation, and supervision standards.Mentor Teacher Assistants, substitutes, and volunteers.Submit accurate and timely employee time, attendance, and mileage reports.Utilize Microsoft Word, Outlook, internet applications, and standard office equipment.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.Serve as a mandated reporter of suspected child abuse or neglect.Demonstrate flexibility to work at other positions or centers as needed.Maintain regular attendance and participate in required training and professional development.Perks!Medical, Dental & VisionFSA & HSAIndemnity Plans401(k) MatchingCompany-Paid Life InsuranceCompany-Paid STD & LTDWellness Program IncentivesEmployee Referral BonusEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)TeladocAnd so much more!What You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field; orAssociate's degree with at least five (5) years of experience in Early Childhood Education.CPR CertificationProficiency with computers, internet applications, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and standard office equipment.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Schedule:Monday–FridayDay ShiftFull-TimeLet's Talk Money!$38,126–$40,809 annually (Depending on Experience)Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
