BDHS is home to approximately 1000 students from Beaver Dam and surrounding communities. The academic experience for our students includes over 165 different course offerings, focused into 13 different curricular teams (i.e. English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Business, Music, etc.). In conjunction with academics, BDHS currently offers over 32 co-curricular activities and 24 sponsored interscholastic athletic teams to extend learning beyond the classroom.
The BDHS soccer program competes in the Badger (Large) Conference and WIAA tournament series. All BDHS coaches are expected to be teachers first, incorporating the teaching and modeling of good character, hard work, leadership, respect, discipline, accountability, integrity and sportsmanship all while striving to win and creating a great experience for all those involved.
Candidates must be licensed to teach in Wisconsin or be eligible for NFICEP certification. Candidates must have knowledge of the technical and fundamental aspects of soccer at an advanced level and demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders for the benefit of an entire program. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to successfully motivate student-athletes and have a 12-month plan of success for the overall Beaver Dam program (K-12). Candidates must agree to, abide by, and contribute to the collective commitments of the buildings they serve.
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
Experience coaching soccer at the high school or equivalent club experience
Knowledge of the existing system and WIAA soccer regulations
Evidence of understanding risk injury factors in soccer
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with other coaches, administrators, community members and parents
Overall passion and desire to work with student-athletes
Experience budgeting and scheduling
