Head Varsity Softball Coach

This is a stipend position paid out at the end of the season = $5,000


Position Summary:


The Head Softball Coach is responsible for organizing, leading, and overseeing all aspects of the Brave Christian School Softball program. The coach will emphasize skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, ensuring a positive and competitive environment for all student-athletes. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to build relationships and manage all operational aspects of the program.

Key Responsibilities

Fosters a community spirit consistent with the Brave Christian School Mission and Core Values among coaches, student-athletes, and parents.

The Head Softball Coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations of Brave Christian School, the Bay Area Conference, North Coast Section, and the California Interscholastic Federation.

Build positive relationships with student-athletes, parents, faculty, administration, and the athletics department.

Recruit, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches in collaboration with the Athletic Director.

Plan and implement effective practice sessions that emphasize skill development, conditioning, and team strategies.

Instruct and demonstrate the skills and techniques necessary for individual and team performance.

Coordinate game schedules, practices, travel, and field usage with the athletics department.

Represents the school at league preseason and postseason coaches meetings.

Leads and manages the distribution, collection, and organization of all program equipment, uniforms, and related items.

Maintain clear communication with student-athletes, families, and school staff regarding team expectations, updates, and schedules.

Qualifications

Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level

Must have a strong understanding of softball rules, regulations, fundamentals, strategy, and skill development.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and mentor student-athletes

Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, staff, and administrators.
