    Position Type: Full-time, 12-month salaried position with benefits

    Location: Nichols College, Dudley, Massachusetts

    Position Summary

    Nichols College, an NCAA Division III institution located in Dudley, Massachusetts, invites applications for the position of Head Women's Lacrosse Coach.

    The Head Women's Lacrosse Coach is responsible for leading, coaching, and managing all aspects of the women's lacrosse program. Working under the direction of the Director of Athletics, the head coach provides leadership, vision, and supervision while supporting the academic, athletic, and personal development of student-athletes.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Identify, recruit, and retain outstanding student-athletes.
    • Meet recruiting goals established by the Director of Athletics.
    • Plan and conduct practices, competitions, and other team activities.
    • Support the academic success and overall well-being of student-athletes.
    • Develop and manage the program's budget, equipment, and related resources.
    • Coordinate the scheduling of practices and contests.
    • Provide appropriate contest coverage and fulfill game-day responsibilities.
    • Lead fundraising initiatives and alumni engagement efforts.
    • Ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and Nichols College policies and regulations.
    • Attend departmental meetings and CNE meetings as required.
    • Obtain and maintain College driving certification.
    • Participate actively in the Division of Athletics and the broader campus community.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Experience in collegiate athletics.
    • Strong understanding of and commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of lacrosse, including its technical and strategic components.
    • Effective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with student-athletes, colleagues, alumni, families, and other campus constituencies.
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency with computers and relevant technology.
    • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
    • Ability to perform light lifting.
    • Availability to work extended and nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous coaching experience.
    • Current CPR/AED and First Aid certification.
