Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable Header Cleaner to join a growing industrial maintenance team in Sapulpa. This position is responsible for cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining heat exchanger headers, tubes, and related components to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of industrial equipment.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in an industrial environment while performing physically demanding maintenance tasks.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous industrial maintenance, mechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to safely operate pressure washing and cleaning equipment
Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
Ability to follow written procedures and safety protocols
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work in physically demanding industrial environments
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clean heat exchanger headers, tube bundles, and related components using high-pressure water, mechanical cleaning tools, and approved chemical solutions
Remove scale, fouling, deposits, and other contaminants to restore equipment performance
Perform visual inspections to identify wear, corrosion, blockages, or damage and report findings to supervisors
Operate and maintain hydroblasting equipment, rotary tube cleaners, pressure washers, and other specialized cleaning tools
Follow all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and proper PPE requirements
Safely prepare, handle, and apply cleaning chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and environmental regulations
Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and maintenance observations
Work closely with maintenance technicians, engineers, and supervisors to complete scheduled maintenance projects
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in oil & gas, power generation, chemical processing, or industrial manufacturing facilities
Familiarity with hydroblasting or industrial cleaning equipment
Knowledge of heat exchanger maintenance procedures
Understanding of industrial safety practices and environmental compliance
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive physical activity throughout the shift
Ability to work in confined spaces and around industrial equipment when required
Comfortable working in varying temperatures while wearing required PPE
Work Environment
Heavy industrial maintenance and manufacturing environment
Exposure to high-pressure cleaning equipment, industrial chemicals, noise, heat, and heavy machinery
Safety-focused workplace requiring strict adherence to HSE procedures and PPE requirements
