Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking experienced Header Welders to join a growing fabrication team in Claremore. This position is responsible for assembling and welding headers, piping, and related components while meeting strict quality standards and production requirements.
The ideal candidate has experience with multi-process welding, can interpret fabrication drawings, and consistently produces high-quality welds in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Previous experience as a Header Welder, structural welder, or industrial welder preferred
Proficiency with MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding processes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
Familiarity with metal fabrication tools and welding equipment
Understanding of workplace safety standards and welding procedures
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Weld headers, piping, and structural components using approved welding procedures
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications to ensure accurate assembly
Measure, cut, fit, and align metal components prior to welding
Inspect completed welds for strength, quality, and compliance with company standards
Repair or rework welds as necessary to meet quality requirements
Safely operate welding equipment, hand tools, and fabrication equipment
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Follow all company safety procedures, welding standards, and production requirements
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and project deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Welding certification preferred
Previous experience in manufacturing, construction, pressure vessel, or fabrication environments
Experience with header fabrication or piping systems is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in multiple welding positions throughout the shift
Ability to safely operate welding equipment while wearing required PPE
Comfortable working around heavy steel, welding fumes, sparks, heat, and industrial machinery
Work Environment
Heavy industrial manufacturing and fabrication facility
Exposure to welding equipment, heavy steel materials, fabrication machinery, heat, sparks, and industrial shop conditions
