You'll support daily rink operations, assist guests, and help keep programs and events running smoothly.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet guests, provide information, and deliver high-quality customer serviceCollect admission fees, handle cash, and work concessions as assignedEnforce facility rules and monitor skate sessions and building useAssist with programs, events, skate rentals, and light facility cleaningSupport inventory tracking, reporting, and general rink operationsWhat You Bring – Education & ExperienceAt least 16 years of age (18+ for opening/closing facility, skate sharpening and driving Zamboni)One to three months of related experience or equivalent education/experienceStrong communication skills and a customer-first mindsetPreferred CertificationsFirst Aid and CPR certification (American Heart Association required within two weeks of hire)Valid Indiana Driver's License (required if operating a City vehicle)Technical Skills & KnowledgeAbility to handle cash and follow City policies and proceduresComfort assisting the public in a fast-paced, outdoor environmentAbility to assist with skate rentals, inventory, and basic facility operationsWillingness to learn skate sharpening (18+ only)Ability or willingness to learn how to drive a Zamboni (18+ only)Why Work for the City of Fort WayneThis is a great opportunity to be part of Fort Wayne's vibrant Riverfront experience while gaining customer service and event support experience.
