Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Clinical Counselor to provide counseling services to children and adolescents ages 5 and older. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the mental health needs of pediatric and adolescent populations and be passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of patients and families.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual counseling services for children ages 5+ and adolescents
- Complete assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide ongoing therapeutic support
- Utilize evidence-based counseling techniques to address emotional, behavioral, and mental health needs
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with care teams, families, and other providers to support patient care
- Provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for patients
What We're Looking For
- Education: Graduate Degree, required. Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field, required.
- Experience: Minimum of three yrs experience, required.
- Licensure/Certification: LPC, LCSW, Clinical Psychologist or PMHCNS (North Carolina), required.
- Additional Skills (required): Good working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office and medical-based software. Excellent working knowledge of behavioral medicine and evidence-based treatments for medical and mental health conditions. Ability to work through brief patient contacts as well as to make quick and accurate clinical assessments of mental and behavioral conditions. Should be comfortable with the pace of primary care, working with an interdisciplinary team, and have strong communication skills. Good knowledge of psycho-pharmacology. Ability to design and implement clinical pathways and protocols for treatment of selected chronic conditions.
- Additional Skills (preferred): Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification and all other duties as assigned.
