Health Care Administrator

As a Health Care Administrator, you'll play an important role in supporting the health and safety of True Friends participants and staff. Trade the traditional clinic or hospital setting for a rewarding and fun environment surrounded by nature! You'll provide guidance on health-related programming, support our nursing teams, facilitate staff training, and help ensure our health care procedures and documentation meet the needs of our participants.
Schedule: Part time, 5-15 hours per week, varying schedule
Work Environment: Hybrid role with remote work the majority of the time, with occasional in-person work at Camp Eden Wood and Camp Friendship as needed
Location: Camp Eden Wood in Eden Prairie, MN and Camp Friendship in Annandale, MN, with remote work available
Pay: $26.92 per hour
What You'll Do
- Advise True Friends staff and board on medical and health issues related to programming
- Facilitate medical and health care training for True Friends staff
- Regularly review and update health procedures and documentation
- Provide supplemental coverage and support to Camp Nurse and Check-In Nurse positions
- Assist with hiring health care staff
- Ensure completion and accuracy of all required documentation
- Assist with distribution of medications
- Collect and document participant vital signs as needed
- Perform additional medical services that align with licensure qualifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- RN or LPN licensure in the state of Minnesota required
- Previous experience working with children and adults with disabilities required
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with individuals of all ages and abilities, parents/guardians, care providers, and the general community
- Ability to handle physical aggression and challenging behaviors
- Willingness to work on-call when needed
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on safety
- Team player who is also self-directed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization
- Functional computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Word
- Must be able to pass organizational background study
