Description

Utah Community Action is accepting applications for a full-time Health Care Specialist. Help us ensure our Head Start children and families are getting the health services they need in and out of the classroom! This would be a perfect position for an RN looking to enter nonprofit work or a recent graduate!As a Health Care Specialist, you are responsible for maintaining collaborative relationships with healthcare professionals and community partners while ensuring the delivery of comprehensive health services and health education for Head Start/Early Head Start children and families. This position oversees program health services, ensures compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and all applicable federal and state regulations, and supports the overall health and well-being of enrolled children. You will also help evaluate and implement health care plans, medication requests, and special meal requests for children with identified health needs, and ensure that all critical care needs are accommodated.
