| POSITION Health Clinic Nurse (LPN)

| LOCATION West Chester Campus, Bioscience Building

| GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the District Nurse, the Health Clinic Nurse will provide the fullest possible educational opportunity for students and staff by minimizing absence due to illness or accidents and creating a climate of health and well-being in the school. As needed the Health Clinic Nurse will provide support at other Butler Tech sites. Campus administrator(s) will provide administrative oversight. All duties are performed in accordance with District, State Board of Education, and Ohio Department of Health policies and guidelines.

Anticipated schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 2:30pm

| QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Ohio State Board of Education Student Monitor permit or willingness and ability to obtain;
• Valid Ohio Practical Nurse license or higher credential;
• Current BLS and/or PALS certification preferred;
• Drug and alcohol education background preferred;
• At least one year of clinical experience in a health-related position;
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred;
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding all school and health related issues;
• Computer expertise appropriate to the position; spreadsheets, word documents, email;
• Willingness and ability to work with students and staff as a team member;
• Valid drivers'' license, reliable transportation, and vehicle insurance;
• Effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
• History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
• Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.

| STARTING DATE As Soon as Feasible

| SALARY $34,398 41,952 ($26.00 - $31.71/hour) based on experience

| WORK YEAR 189 days - 7 hours/day - prorated to reflect remaining days in contract year
