Job Overview:
The Fitness Wellness Representative/Health Club Attendant(Saturday Only) will maintain front desk operations at the Health Club. This position is responsible for processing calls in a professional, courteous, and timely manner in order to meet required standards.
Compensation: $18-19/hr
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Hours: Saturday Only
6:00AM - 2:30PM
(hours subject to change to accommodate business needs)
Your Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily service schedule for spa and fitness.
- Responsible for daily member check in and check out. Including POS and check handling.
- Prep and maintain locker rooms, treatment room, pool deck, and track with needed amenities.
- Frequently walk all areas to ensure safety.
- Promote all club programs/activities by discussing other department areas that may assist members with a total club experience. Must keep current with club calendar -- programs, events and activities.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and safely by proper maintenance, repair and cleaning of machines.
- Assist in emergency procedures when necessary.
- Resolves member issues through effective customer service skills and referring others to the proper authority levels. Must keep current with club and departmental policies and enforce them.
- Monitor the exercise room.
- Ensure the Experience is received for members and guests by maintaining the Community's Mission Statements / Values; Standards and Expectations.
- Ensure facility cleanliness including exercise equipment.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Conduct fitness orientations
- Arrange pool furniture daily
Skills & Qualifications:
- Customer service, serves as the HOA ambassador in developing and maintaining the active lifestyle.
- Experience in resort or country club setting preferred.
- Knowledge of fitness and spa services, complete various administrative work.
- Ability to handle cash accurately.
- Productivity; good attendance, few errors or repetition, good work quantity and quality, positive contributor; ability to work successfully in a team environment, strong people skills required, works well with others
- Honesty; being truthful and trustworthy, doing what needs to be done and what is right, being fair and objective, having personal integrity and treating others in a mature, responsible manner
- Loyalty; having commitment toward the goals of the organization, the nature of the business, respecting its efforts, defending its good name, giving the job the best effort and sincerity
- Must possess a strong internal/external customer service orientation/commitment
- Excellent time management, organizational and follow-up skills · Most be comfortable working in a fast paced environment where continuous improvement is expected
- Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards
- Flexibility and adaptability to situations · Personal computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word
- Normal schedule to be determined based on needs of the client and community. There will be occasions when it is necessary to work various evenings, weekends and holidays.
Education & Experience:
- High School or GED
- Two or more years in resort or country club setting preferred
- Group fitness certification preferred
- Proficient in English.
- General math skills.
- Ability to plan, organize and complete assignments in a timely fashion

- Must be able to lift 25lbs.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must have finger dexterity for typing/using a keyboard.
- Walking and standing are required · Must be able to stand and exert well-paced ability for up to 4 hours in length.
- Must be mobile enough to move around during facility programs or outside events and stand for long periods of time.
- Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors, and other employees.
