The Burlington County Health Department is seeking a Health Educator. This position will support the Health Education and Emergency Preparedness divisions of the Health Department.
Duties would include, but not limited to, the development and implementation of health education programs, including activities to recognize monthly health observances, conduct presentations to community groups, represent the Burlington County Health Department on various community committees, workforce development, new employee orientation, coordination of internship activities, active participation in accreditation activities and committees, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Health Education.
Education --------
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Public Health, Community Health Education, Nursing or a related Health Education field.
Experience ---------
Two (2) years of experience assessing community health education needs and, in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of diversified health education programs in a local health department or state or local health agency.
Certification ------------
Applicants must possess a certification as a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) issued by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.
Requirements ------------
Appointees will be required to possess a drivers license valid in New Jersey.
