As a supervisor, the Coordinator oversees the Health Educators and reports directly to the Program Director. Welcome and work with youth of all backgrounds, including LGBTQ youthDemonstrate increasing knowledge and understanding of youth developmental opportunities and challengesAct as a health advocate by referring participants or parents to community services (e.g., family planning, health insurance)Documentation, Tracking, and Consistent Use of the Online Reporting System (5%)Understand contractual requirements and current grant status, submitting comprehensive monthly reportsConduct process evaluation and maintain accurate records of group sessions at community locations, including Buffalo Public Schools, faith‑based sites, and othersOther Job Responsibilities Directly Assigned by Supervisor (5%)Any other duties assigned by supervisor as delegated.EducationBachelor's degree in an accredited health‑related field and one year of full‑time experience in a recognized youth service agencyBachelor's degree in any major and two years of full‑time experience in health education, including teen pregnancy prevention, HIV/AIDS, and STIsKnowledge and Skill RequirementsMust own a car and hold a valid NYS Driver's License, with reliable transportationPassion for educating youth, young adults, and others about sensitive topicsComfortable and skilled in public speaking to small and large groups, clearly and concisely explaining ideas and keeping attentionStrong interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written communication skillsFully proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with electronic health recordsPassionate about BFNC's vision, mission, and values, acting as a role model for agency values and responsible practicesErgonomicsSitting, standing, stooping, bending, standard lifting up to 35 pounds, carrying, repetitive movements. Ability to operate and repair machines; prolonged standing, walking, bending, and stretching. Must be able to navigate stairs, work varied weather conditions and outdoors during summer months.
