Employees in this classification conduct educational/behavioral groups and follow-up of patients throughout all phases of a comprehensive medically- supervised program. Employees in this classification receive limited supervision and work is evaluated based on progress toward a set of goals by immediate supervisor. May supervise student assistants and other clerical personnel. Work is performed under usual clinic and office conditions and requires a great deal of patient contact and contact with community resource people. Some work is performed after usual office hours.

- Works with the Regional Director and other grant staff to identify educational needs and opportunities in the community.
- Assists with grant-related projects, including planning, scheduling, and training, to efficiently implement grant initiatives.
- Serves as a liaison between the grant and external groups to streamline communication.
- Develops and reviews educational materials and other documents as assigned for grant-related activities.
- Delivers live or virtual educational activities and maintains files for all projects and events.
- Represents the grant by providing information and education to the community during health fairs, virtual events, or other outreach activities for community members or other health care professionals.
- Remains current with all licensure, certifications and mandatory compliances and trainings required of this position.
- Adhere to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).

- Work experience demonstrating health education practices, techniques, and principles.
- Two years of public health experience; knowledge of modern health care technology, the methods, resources, and standards thereof.
- Performs advanced, specialized work in the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of educational and outreach activities for health professionals and community members.
- Experience developing and delivering training, educational materials, and community engagement initiatives related to children''s environmental health topics, including environmental exposures, air quality, healthy homes, disaster preparedness, water quality, poison prevention, chemical hazards, injury prevention, and other environmental health risks affecting children and families.
- Works under general supervision with evaluation based on the accomplishment of assigned objectives and the overall effectiveness of projects and programs.
