Health Info Coder III

Summary:

• Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday with flexible hours
• Location: Must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wisconsin

Responsibilities:

• Provide training, education, and mentoring to the inpatient coding team and CDI staff for coding education
• Deliver training both in-person and virtually
• Collaborate with business owners to define, plan, implement, and evaluate required training
• Ensure smooth change management for coding operations, revenue cycle, and affected areas
• Evaluate and deliver comprehensive training and education programs based on end-users' needs
• Provide onsite and/or virtual support to trainees and act as a knowledge resource for all staff
• Perform coding quality chart reviews, ensuring compliance with government, regulatory, and coding guidelines/standards
• Deliver results of chart reviews through reports for informed business decisions

Requirements:

• Experience in providing training and education in a healthcare coding environment
• Ability to deliver training both in-person and virtually
• Strong understanding of coding guidelines and standards
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
