POSITION: Health Information Instructor & Program Director
LOCATION: NDSCS - Hybrid
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Full-time, 10-month, benefited position. Summer responsibilities are also required and will be paid on a separate contract.

JOB SUMMARY: The Health Information (HI) Program Director in collaboration with the Division Dean is responsible for the overall leadership, organization, administration, course, and program assessment, planning, development, accreditation, program approval, and general effectiveness of the program. The program options include a CAHIIM-accredited AAS HIT degree option and an AHIMA PCAP medical coding certificate option.
General areas of responsibility include faculty and/or staff recruitment, supervision, and development; student advisement and assistance; curriculum development, modification, and oversight; departmental and institutional communication; budget preparation and oversight; professional practice placement; advisory committee coordination; and other general administrative duties. The HI Program Director is also responsible for teaching. Must be willing to teach using an online learning management system, virtual lab, and a variety of software applications.

SALARY: Starting at $65,736.67, commensurate with education and experience
Minimum Requirements
Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS
Bachelor's degree in health information or related area
Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) OR as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
Active member of AHIMA and CSA
At least three years of experience in the health information field
Excellent computer skills
Demonstrated knowledge of health information management software applications
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others including employee supervision
