TITLE: Health Maintenance Worker I (Part-time)
DEPARTMENT: Facilities Management
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform cleaning functions in Health Clinic to maintain an attractive, sanitary and orderly environment contributing to patient comfort, employee morale and staff satisfaction.
- Complete cleaning details according to schedule and maintain established departmental standards.
- Understand, demonstrate, and assist with procedures regarding Infection Control and Safety.
- Maintain work area in the condition required by health care standards.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies/paper products in closets to make sure properly supplied and ready for work.
- Report equipment and fixture repairs immediately to the Facilities Manager.
- Record and report immediately to Facilities Manager if property damage has occurred and if unusual activities have transpired within and around the buildings and grounds.
- Other duties as assigned and accepts other work projects independently.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D and one year experience.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Must be flexible and willing to work hours as specified.
- Mature, responsible person.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and set priorities independently.
- Must be willing to obtain training and certification for maintaining health care facilities.
- Will work in areas where small amount of blood may be present, as well as infectious agents.
- Must successfully complete background investigations.
SUPERVISION:
- Supervised by the Facilities Manager.
