Job Description

If you're an experienced manager who knows how to build and improve programs, lead teams, manage budgets, and turn workforce needs into successful training opportunities, consider joining the NIC Workforce Training Center as the Health Occupations Manager. This position combines program management, people leadership, business development, and workforce strategy with a focus on healthcare education. You'll have the opportunity to shape programs that respond to employer needs, strengthen partnerships across the healthcare industry, and create pathways into in-demand careers.

The Health Occupations Manager oversees the performance and growth of multiple non-credit healthcare training programs, with responsibility for staffing, program planning, budgeting, scheduling, enrollment, compliance, and continuous improvement. You'll supervise and support instructors and staff, evaluate program performance and financial health, and implement changes that improve outcomes and sustainability. The role also involves identifying emerging workforce needs, developing new programs and curriculum, cultivating employer and clinical partnerships, and pursuing opportunities to expand training.

Strong relationship-building is essential as you'll work closely with healthcare employers, clinical partners, instructors, college departments, and community organizations. You'll help ensure programs meet regulatory and industry requirements, oversee clinical partnerships and affiliation agreements, and promote training opportunities to prospective students and employers. You'll also collaborate across the college to strengthen pathways from non-credit training into credit-bearing healthcare programs.

We're looking for a proven manager and program builder who can lead people, make data-informed decisions, manage financial resources, and turn ideas into successful programs. The ideal candidate brings experience supervising employees, evaluating and improving program performance, developing programs or services, managing budgets, and building productive external partnerships. Healthcare experience is important, but equally important is the ability to lead a program, develop people, manage resources, and drive results.
