Our Whiteshell location is looking for a Health Physicist to play a vital part in protecting Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) employees and the public from radiological and related hazards. What will you be doing!
What we are looking for:
Education
BSc or MSc in Physics, Health Physics, Radiation Protection, Medical Physics, and/or Engineering Physics (or equivalent education, such as BSc science degree and work experience).
Experience
Minimum ten years' post-graduation Health Physics experience, preferably with 2+ in decommissioning.
Extensive experience and understanding of work tasks, their execution, and associated radiological hazards, as well as the ability to learn from others and absorb new/related knowledge quickly.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to wear protective clothing and to work in a hazardous environment.
Ability to establish priorities and achieve goals and objectives in a work environment with varied and sometimes conflicting demands.
Knowledge of Radiation Protection principles.
Security Clearance Eligibility Required
Level 2 Secret requires a minimum of 7 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat''''s "Standard on Security Screening" and the "Policy on Government Security."
