We are a specialized radiological and life sciences operation based in Southern California, working with radioactive materials in a laboratory and production environment. Our Health Physics team keeps every operation compliant, safe, and moving, partnering directly with regulatory agencies and internal teams to protect employees, visitors, and the public. Job Details

Provide radiological surveillance support for production activities covered by Special Radiological Work Permits (SRWPs)
Calculate and evaluate internal and external radiation doses for employees, visitors, and members of the public
Collect, prepare, package, and assay radioactive waste for disposal, and coordinate disposal shipments
Conduct radiological assessments of laboratory operations and recommend improvements to reduce radiation dose

Requirements
BS degree in Health Physics or a related field with radiological laboratory experience. Masters degree preferred
2 to 3 years of Health Physics related experience with a BS, or extensive experience with a Masters
Comprehensive working knowledge of radiation safety laws and regulations, plus overall radiation protection program management
Hands on use of Geiger counters, ion chambers, and other radiation control instruments, including analysis of radioactive samples via ion chamber and liquid scintillation equipment
Experience performing radiation dose and effluent calculations. Must be onsite in Valencia and able to travel to Burbank as needed
